PhD Curriculum in cooperation with the University Tuebingen
The PhD/MD curriculum complements the scientific training of the PhD/MD students in the individual research groups at the IKP and the RBCT. It consists of weekly seminars over a period of 3 years (6 semesters) covering essential content from experimental and clinical pharmacology, biochemistry, physiology, pathophysiology of selected diseases, statistics, clinical trials, ethics and law in clinical trials, and other key topics. Further, the PhD/MD curriculum also comprises aspects of career planning, technology transfer and good scientific practice. Senior scientists from the IKP, the RBK, and the RBCT give lectures according to their respective expertise. For topics for which no in-house expertise is available (e.g. technology transfer, perspectives from industry, ethics and law), external guests are invited to share their knowledge with the students.
